Connecting via OAuth2

One-Click OAuth2 Connection #

OAuth2 is the recommended and most secure way to connect your WordPress site to GoHighLevel.

How to Connect #

  1. Navigate to GHL CRM → Settings → Connection.
  2. Click the “Connect with GoHighLevel” button.
  3. You’ll be redirected to GoHighLevel’s authorization page.
  4. Select the location (sub-account) you want to connect.
  5. Click Authorize to grant the plugin access.
  6. You’ll be redirected back to your WordPress site with a success confirmation.

How OAuth2 Works #

The plugin uses our secure OAuth2 proxy server to handle the token exchange. Your credentials are encrypted using WordPress salts and stored in the database. Access tokens are automatically refreshed when they expire, with circuit-breaker protection (3 consecutive failures trigger a 5‑minute cooldown to prevent API flooding).

Requirements #

  • Your site must use HTTPS for OAuth2 to work.
  • Your GoHighLevel account must have API access enabled.
