Manual API Token Authentication

When to Use a Manual Token #

If OAuth2 isn’t available, or if you prefer using a personal API token, you can connect manually.

Steps #

  1. Log in to your GoHighLevel account.
  2. Go to Settings → Business Profile (or your sub-account settings).
  3. Copy your API Token and Location ID.
  4. In WordPress, navigate to GHL CRM → Settings → Connection.
  5. Select the Manual authentication method.
  6. Paste your API Token and Location ID.
  7. Click Save & Test Connection.

Important Notes #

  • Manual tokens do not auto-refresh — if your token is revoked or expires, you must enter a new one.
  • All credentials are encrypted before storage using WordPress salts.
