Syncing Course Progress to GHL (Pro)

< 1 min read Updated Jun 6, 2026

Overview

Sync a student’s course progress as structured data to GHL custom fields. Use progress percentage, status, and step counts in GHL automations, dashboards, and reports.

What gets synced

  • Progress percentage: 0-100
  • Status: not_started, in_progress, or completed
  • Completed steps: Number of completed lessons/topics
  • Total steps: Total lessons/topics in the course

Setting up the mapping

In the field mapping interface, the following virtual field keys are available for each published LearnDash course:

  • ld_progress_percentage_{course_id}
  • ld_progress_status_{course_id}
  • ld_progress_completed_{course_id}
  • ld_progress_total_{course_id}

Map each to the corresponding GHL custom field in Syncly > Field Mapping.

Debounce

Progress sync is debounced to 15 minutes per user per course. If a student completes multiple lessons quickly, only one API call fires after the debounce window. Configurable via the ghl_crm_progress_debounce_seconds filter.
