BuddyBoss Integration

BuddyBoss Group Sync to GHL Custom Objects

< 1 min read Updated Jun 6, 2026

Overview

The BuddyBoss integration syncs BuddyBoss groups to GHL Custom Objects. Each group becomes a record in a GHL Custom Object schema, and group members are linked via GHL contact associations.

What triggers sync

  • Group created, updated, or deleted
  • Member joins or leaves a group
  • Member is removed, banned, or unbanned
  • Group type changes

Schema auto-creation

When a new BuddyBoss group type is published, the plugin automatically creates the corresponding GHL Custom Object schema. No manual GHL schema setup needed per group type.

Member associations

When a user joins a group, the plugin creates a GHL association between the group’s Custom Object record and the user’s GHL contact. When the user leaves, the association is removed. If the user has no GHL contact yet, contact creation is queued first, then the association is created.

Requirements

The GHL Custom Objects API scope must be enabled on your connection. Enable BuddyBoss integration from Settings > Integrations.
