Sync Direction: To GHL, From GHL, Both Ways
To GHL
Data flows from WordPress to GHL only. Use for fields WordPress owns: profile fields users fill in on your site, fields from forms or integrations. Example: a user updates their phone number on your site, it is pushed to the GHL contact record.
From GHL
Data flows from GHL to WordPress only. Use for fields GHL owns: values set by your automations, data from GHL pipelines. Example: a GHL automation sets a custom field “membership_level” on a contact, it is pulled into WordPress user meta on the next webhook or sync.
Both ways
Data syncs in both directions. Most recent change wins. Use carefully: both-ways mappings can create unexpected overwrites if the same field is written from two sources.
Ping-pong prevention
When GHL sends a webhook updating a field in WordPress, the plugin sets a 30-second guard for that contact. Any outbound sync for that contact during that window is skipped. See Ping-Pong Prevention.
