Setting Up Field Mapping

< 1 min read

What Is Field Mapping? #

Field mapping defines how WordPress user data corresponds to GoHighLevel contact fields. For example, you might map the WordPress first_name field to the GHL firstName field.

How to Configure #

  1. Go to GHL CRM → Field Mapping.
  2. You’ll see a visual interface with two columns: WordPress fields on the left and GHL fields on the right.
  3. Use the dropdown selectors to map each WordPress field to its GHL counterpart.
  4. Set the sync direction for each mapping:
    • To GHL — Only send data from WordPress to GHL.
    • From GHL — Only receive data from GHL to WordPress.
    • Both Ways — Bi-directional sync.
  5. Click Save Mappings.

Supported WordPress Fields #

  • Core user fields: first_name, last_name, email, display_name, etc.
  • User meta fields
  • BuddyBoss XProfile fields (Pro)
  • WooCommerce billing/shipping fields (Pro)
  • LearnDash progress fields (Pro)

Refreshing GHL Fields #

Click the Refresh Fields button to pull the latest custom field list from your GHL account. This is useful if you’ve recently added new custom fields in GoHighLevel.
