Role-Based Tagging System

< 1 min read

Overview #

Assign GHL tags automatically based on WordPress user roles. When a user is assigned a role, the corresponding tags are applied to their GHL contact. When the role is removed or changed, tags can be automatically removed.

Configuration #

  1. Go to GHL CRM → Settings → Tags.
  2. For each WordPress role (Administrator, Editor, Subscriber, etc.), select the GHL tags to apply.
  3. Enable Auto Apply to automatically tag on role assignment.
  4. Enable Remove on Change to remove role-specific tags when the user’s role changes.

Registration Tags #

Configure default tags that are applied when any new user registers, regardless of their assigned role.

Bulk Tag Operations #

Use the Bulk Apply or Bulk Remove buttons in the Tags settings to add or remove tags for all users in a specific role. This operation is processed via the Action Scheduler queue for reliability.
